walking on hands

I was walking in the late afternoon sunshine with some other women, along winding paths, through the trees. We were happy and talking—going home. We started down a hill with steps carved into the grass. Instead of walking upright, I walked on my hands with my body stretched out behind me, at right angles to my arms. I felt the edge of each step against my palms. My arms were strong and my body felt like it was floating.

I frequently have dreams about walking on my hands, and have for about 10 years. I have searched dream interpretation guides and found nothing similar to my experiences. I thought I was the only one!

... any luck with your dream interpretation? A couple of days ago I was walking on my hands (90 degree angle, water on the floor, body almost straight behind me, I felt like I was gravitating.

Looked for an interpretation, I found you guys.

Well, as far as interpretation goes, I am inclined to think the dreamer is the person best equipped to decipher the meaning of their dream. I sometimes consult dream guides, searching out the most prominent symbols of the dream - this can help. But to ask yourself, 'What does this symbol mean TO ME?' is a more reliable way of ascertaining the dream meaning. Take into account the context of the dream, as well as the content. For me, I think walking on hands is about finding a different way of doing things, using hidden strengths or abilities, seeing things in a different way, from a new perspective. It is also about feeling happy, growing confident and strong, even elated. It incorporates play and mastery. Hope this helps.

Same here i get them too. I dreamt I was at a festival full of thousands of people just running around on my hands. Funny thing is I try running normally and I have trouble.

Describing the feeling would be akin to doing a handstand at the bottom of a shallow swimming pool, effortlessly dangle above. Its so weird but also feels like it makes so much sense, almost to the point of me thinking I could get out of bed right now and do it (probably ending in a broken neck)

I agree with Skeleton agency. I'm 29 and I've been depressed in my past. I made a choice to start facing my depression head on. Then I started having these dreams of walking on my hands. In the dream I feel strong and powerful, like I can do anything. This feeling follows me into my waking life as well. I think that an almost literal interpretation is that our sub-conscious is telling us that we are strong enough to carry ourselves.
